Superintendent in Residence program presents free webcast

The University of Guelph's 2013 Superintendent in Residence Public Lecture, "Balancing Nature with Championship Conditions," will be presented Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Cutten Fields Golf Club, 190 College Ave. East in Guelph.

Tom Brodeur has been the superintendent at TPC Boston since construction began in 2001. He has hosted 10 PGA Tour Deutsche Bank Championships, including five Fed-Ex Cup playoff events. TPC Boston is an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary certified golf course and was the 2011 national winner of the Environmental Leaders in Golf Award.

The Superintendent in Residence program provides an opportunity for an experienced industry professional to spend time on campus and interact with faculty, staff and students in University of Guelph turfgrass management programs. The 2013 program is sponsored by Flightline Golf, Guelph Turfgrass Institute, NGF Golf, Ontario Seed Company, University of Guelph Department of Plant Agriculture, TDI Golf, Turf Care Products and Zander Sod.
