Summerside, P.E.I. opens first-of-its-kind indoor sports dome with artificial turf surface

$5M dome built for 2023 Canada Winter Games

A new 65,000-square-foot indoor sports dome officially opened this week in Summerside, P.E.I. Built for the 2023 Canada Winter Games, the $5-million dome is complete with an artificial turf surface and warm air pumped inside. The dome is the first of its kind in the province and will be open year-round for minor sports leagues and community functions.
