Sports turf management and maintenance course coming to Atlantic Canada
August 2, 2012 By Mike Jiggens
The Sports Turf Association is returning to Moncton, N.B. this fall to present a sports turf management and maintenance course Oct. 29 to Nov. 1 at the Moncton Coliseum.
At the geographic centre of the Maritime provinces, the City of Moncton is well situated to welcome sports turf managers from across Atlantic Canada for the program offering.
The four-day, STA-developed course will be instructed by Dr. Eric Lyons, associate professor of turfgrass science at the University of Guelph, home of the renowned Guelph Turfgrass Institute. The course has been designed to introduce the latest principles and techniques of managing and maintaining sports turf.
The course is expected to be of interest to those who manage or maintain sports turf, other turf areas or those who wish to develop additional knowledge and skills in this field.
