Snow removal contractor shuts down on eve of storm

About 1,600 customers have been left out in the cold after a Gatineau, Que. private snow removal contractor ceased its operations during the weekend of Feb. 11-12. Citing financial hardships, RM Deneigement’s ill-timed shutdown coincided with a major storm that hit eastern Canada.
