Snow contractor cites rising insurance costs for abrupt shutdown of company branches
About 1,500 customers left without snow removal services

A 300 per cent increase in his insurance costs and other operational expenses has prompted an Ottawa snow contractor to immediately shut down two of his branches. Metro Snow & Ice Management will continue to operate a third branch, but the closure of the other two is leaving about 1,500 customers without snow removal services.
