Environmental concern forces closure of three-year-old field

The artificial field at Oak Bay High School in Victoria has been shut down after its fibres were found washing away into a nearby creek.

Artificial turf fibres from a Victoria high school sports field have been washing into the nearby Bowker Creek, creating an environmental concern. The three-year-old field will be replaced under warranty and has since been shut down from further use, posing a scheduling issue for local minor soccer teams.
