School getting new artificial field with built-in environmentally safer measures

Following reports of turf blades shedding from a Vancouver Island high school artificial turf field, a new field will be installed that will be accompanied by a series of new environmental measures. The shedding blades had been making their way into the environment, but the new field will come with filters and a wrap-around perimeter to catch debris.
