Save our ash trees by not moving firewood, Nature Conservancy of Canada suggests
Untold number of trees already destroyed

Don’t transport firewood from one location to another, the Nature Conservancy of Canada is pleading. It’s the best way to stop the spread of the invasive emerald ash borer, the not-for-profit agency suggests. Already responsible for the destruction of untold numbers of ash trees in Canada from Manitoba to the Atlantic provinces, the insect could effectively cause the functional extinction of ash trees across the country.
