Salmon Arm couple loses case forbidding them from having an artificial turf front lawn
Strata bylaw is vague, couple argues
May 10, 2022 By Turf & Rec
Having replaced their natural turf lawn with an artificial turf surface has cost a Salmon Arm, B.C. couple a legal case against their strata. The couple had their synthetic lawn professionally installed last year, but has been told by the strata council that it doesn’t comply with a bylaw that states front lawns must be “landscaped with lawns, shrubs and flower beds.” The couple argued the bylaw’s definition of “lawn” is vague, but the Tribunal rules otherwise.
