Salford Group acquires AerWay line

December 15, 2015  By  Mike Jiggens

AerWay aeration products have been acquired by the Salford Group, a manufacturer of tillage, fertilizer and seeding application equipment.

The Salford Group, based in Salford, Ont., is a virtual neighbour of SAF-Holland Canada Ltd. which had been manufacturing AerWay equipment from its Norwich, Ont. factory.

Geof Gray, CEO of the Salford Group, said the acquisition of AerWay allows the company to expand its tillage product lineup to include more vertical tillage and pastureland management tools.

SAF-Holland began manufacturing AerWay equipment in 1983. AerWay equipment will continue to be manufactured at the Norwich location.

“This is truly an exciting opportunity for the AerWay product line, and many of the employees that help build AerWay," said Kim Baeschler, president of SAF-Holland Canada Ltd. "Under Salford’s world class banner, continued investment in the AerWay design and manufacturing will be assured allowing the product to grow."
