Sagebrush Golf & Sporting Club re-opening seven years after closing its doors
Sagebrush was ranked best new course in Canada in 2009
June 10, 2021 By ScoreGolf
Merritt, B.C.’s Sagebrush Golf & Sporting Club, seemingly left for dead in 2014, has been resurrected with an expected re-opening next month. Named best new course in Canada in 2009 by both ScoreGolf and Golf Digest, the golf course closed five years later and went dormant. Several factors contributed to its seeming demise, including the economic crash of 2009, but it’s been brought back to life with its former superintendent Neil Pilon back at the helm.
