Safety, comfort, flexibility offered in ‘Pittsburgh Energy’ work boots

September 21, 2022  By KEEN Utility

With the release of the CSA Pittsburgh Energy, KEEN Utility combines a proven athletic-hiker fit with a nimble, easy-wearing work experience.

In addition to its lighter weight, this medium-duty boot offers additional cushioning and flexibility with comfort enhancements including a KEEN.ReGEN midsole that returns 50 per cent more energy than standard EVA foam, a KEEN.DRY waterproof, breathable membrane, and a TPU shank for midfoot support.

At the same time, the Pittsburgh energy does not sacrifice when it comes to safety features including asymmetrical carbon-fibre toes that are 15 per cent lighter than steel, an oil- and slip- resistant outsole, and an EH rating to serve as a secondary source of protection from live circuits.

Other features include locking metal lace hooks, Cleansport NXT technology for natural odour protection, PFC-free durable water repellency, premium LWG-certified tannery leather, a removable metatomical PU footbed and a mesh and moisture-wicking textile lining.
