Regina’s baseball community has been seeking a new baseball stadium to replace Currie Field, but the project is being scaled back to a 2,000-seat facility from an originally proposed 3,500 stadium. Included in the project is a similarly sized soccer field located next door. A public consultation was held this week on the matter as it is one of several considerations being made by the city to revitalize its core.
