PTRC publishes details of annual bluegrass cold tolerance improvement study

The Prairie Turfgrass Research Centre’s (PTRC) final report for its project, “Foliar applications of N and K for improving cold tolerance of annual bluegrass (poa annua),” is now available to be read on the CTRF website.

In other PTRC news. Dr. Manuel Chavarria has accepted another position and is leaving the PTRC at the end of February. He is working with the Olds College Centre for Innovation team on a transition plan to ensure current projects and clients’ needs are met. Projects related to snow mould evaluations will be executed through the plan which includes using the existing resources and expertise. Over the next few months, the PTRC will assess the need for a dedicated turfgrass research scientist.
