Provincial closures, including golf courses, should be done regionally: club owner
Regions with low case numbers shouldn't be lumped with all others
April 19, 2021 By The Sault Star
The part-owner of the Root River Golf Club in Sault Ste. Marie says government decisions to shut down amenities, such as golf courses, should be made according to region and not as a one-size-fits-all measure. Harvey Barsanti says the number of active COVID-19 cases in his region is comparatively small in comparison with those in Ontario’s hot spots, and there is no need for golf to be mothballed locally. Root River had planned to open for the season this coming weekend.
