Snow-covered sports fields in Calgary have delayed the start of recreational sports leagues that ordinarily would have begun with practice sessions in mid-March. “It’s hard, Kathy Worthington, director of the Calgary Minor Softball Association, said. “What do we do? You sit and wait for Mother Nature to bring that warm sun. It’s all we can do.”
