Trust account set up for RiverBend staffer who died at age 29

London, Ont.'s RiverBend Golf Community lost one of its grounds maintenance staff on July 18 when Lucas McConnell died of a heart attack at the young age of 29. He had celebrated the birth of his son Griffin only 11 days earlier.
The staff at RiverBend have posted the following message:
"It is with our deepest regret to inform you that Lucas McConnell has passed away at the age of 29 on July 18, 2013. Luke was a member of the RiverBend Grounds department in London, ON. With his love for sport and nature, Luke was a perfect fit for the golf industry. What set Luke apart was his genuine character and contagious personality. Luke made you a better person just by knowing him. A proud husband and father, Luke leaves behind his wife Kelly and young son Griffin. Luke will be missed dearly by friends and family alike, but will live on in our hearts. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
"A trust account for the family has been set up under Sifton Properties Limited in Trust for Lucas McConnell. Donations can be made at any Bank of Montreal location with transit # 2915, and account # 1043-904."
