Port Elgin, Ont. sports park project nearing its second phase fundraising goal

Ball diamonds, playground already built

Fundraising for the second phase of Port Elgin, Ont.’s Lamont Sports Park has almost reached its $1.5-million goal. The community’s original goal of raising $1 million was reached during the summer, allowing two youth ball diamonds and an accessible playground to be built. With the expanded $1.5-million goal, plans are to include additional baseball infrastructure and a pavilion.
