Politicians applaud invasive species national strategy

March 19, 2019 – A recommended national strategy that would deal with invasive species such as the emerald ash borer is being applauded by politicians representing the Oakville-Burlington area in Ontario. Both Oakville North-Burlington MP Pam Damoff and Burlington Mayor Marianne Meed Ward said the problem had previously been left in the hands of municipalities, but noted a national strategy is in the best interests of everyone.
