Pine beetle renders Jasper trees red and dying

July 16, 2018 – The usually green forest near Pyramid Mountain at Jasper National Park in Alberta has become redder in colour thanks to the mountain pine beetle. The Alberta government has spent hundreds of millions of dollars to stop the spread of the pest.
