Pickleball courts to be lit up in Quesnel, B.C., but supply chain issues may cause delay

Cost of lighting estimated at $90,000

June 9, 2022  By Turf & Rec

Quesnel, B.C.’s pickleball and tennis courts at West Fraser Timber Park are getting lit up.

Although plans were to install lights at only two of the courts, the city is looking at lighting up all six pickleball courts and both tennis courts.

The projected cost to install lights is $90,000 which won’t entirely be funded by the city. The Quesnel Pickleball Club has secured a $10,000 grant while the club itself is investing $3,000.

The city can’t determine when the lights installation work will begin, citing supply chain issues as a hurdle.
