Parks maintenance in Edmonton in full swing as city anticipates increased attendance

Mowing, pruning and tree planting are among the tasks being performed in Edmonton’s parks and green spaces as the city prepares for an expected increase in use this summer. Park attendance has more than doubled in many of the city’s parks since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. City crews maintain the equivalent of 8,000 CFL football fields at the more than 1,000 parks in Edmonton.
