Opinion: Meeting to discuss Toronto’s municipal golf operations disappointing
ScoreGolf writer says OGSA and other stakeholders consulted late

A virtual public meeting Monday to discuss the operations of Toronto’s five city-owned golf courses was a disappointment for a ScoreGolf writer. Rick Young said the meeting, attended online by about 500 people, barely mentioned any actual golf course operations. The city’s review of its municipal courses has been ongoing since 2018, but such important stakeholders as Golf Canada, PGA of Canada, Golf Ontario and the Golf Course Superintendents Association of Canada have only recently been consulted – another disappointment Young noted.
