Ontario hort industry urges lifting restrictions on garden centres
Many live plants may have to be destroyed if they can't be sold

Current health restrictions in Ontario could put garden centres at risk. Trees, shrubs, perennials and field-grown flowers can continue to be grown on farms, but, if they can’t be sold in garden centres, much of that stock may have to be destroyed, putting those businesses in peril. Garden centres are currently deemed as non-essential businesses.
