Ontario course opens ’21 season at earliest date ever, sees 60% membership jump

St. Marys Golf & Country Club marked its earliest spring opening on the weekend in its 90-year history. The Ontario golf course attracted 100 golfers on Saturday and another 230 on Sunday as a result of milder-than-normal weather. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, people continue to look at golf as a safe recreational outlet. St. Marys has reported its membership sales are up 60 per cent from the same time last year.
