Online contribution pages make it easier to support CTRF’s turfgrass research

Research helps to grow better, more sustainable turf

June 2, 2021  By Turf & Rec

Two new online contribution pages have been launched by the Canadian Turf Research Foundation (CTRF) to make support for turf research easier than ever.

A New Approach to the Turf We Play On is hosted by the Golf Canada Foundation. Operating since the fall, it is designed for use by golf enthusiasts interested in helping fund green research initiatives that further environmentally conscious and sustainable golf course design and maintenance practices.

The second is hosted by www.turfresearchcanada.ca and is found under the “Contribute” tab. It has  just recently been completed and is ready for any and all contributions via Paypal or credit card.  Donors can also set up repeating monthly contributions.

Both pages are accessible to anyone and are designed to handle personal or corporate donations with tax receipts issued (Registered Charity# 100773365 RR 0001).

“We believe it’s entirely possible to balance intensive turf care with environmental sustainability, but in order to grow better, more sustainable turf, turfgrass research in Canada needs your support,” Paul Schofield, CTRF chair, said.

The Canadian Turfgrass Research Foundation is a registered charity that raises funds for turfgrass research projects aimed at advancing education and scientific knowledge associated with the safe, recreational and functional use of turfgrass.
