North Vancouver residents rally to save 200-year-old cedar from being removed
Tree is scheduled to come down this week for development project

Plans to destroy a cedar tree estimated to be about 200 years old is not sitting well with residents in North Vancouver. The tree is slated to be cut down this week to allow for a new development project that is to include two towers and four mid-rise buildings. An online petition to save the tree had garnered more than 2,500 signatures as of Tuesday.
