A grievance over the hardness of the artificial turf surface at Charlotte, N.C.’s Bank of America Stadium is being filed against the National Football League and the Carolina Panthers franchise. The grievance, filed by the NFL Players Association, claims the field conditions for a Christmas Eve game violated the protocols in the association’s collective bargaining agreement. The NFL has come under fire in recent months over the number of player injuries related to artificial turf surfaces.
