Even though they raised $100,000 for a new playing field, parents of children attending Earl Beatty Junior and Senior Public School in Toronto are upset it wasn’t ready in time for the start of the current school year. A local school board official said the rainy summer is to blame for the delay in the opening of the artificial turf field, but has assured it will be ready the end of October.
