Protest fails to prevent tree removal in Fredericton

May 29, 2018 – Plans to remove 19 trees from Officers’ Square in Fredericton will continue as planned in spite of a public protest that boiled over in anger. The trees were earmarked for removal to make way for new development in that part of the city’s downtown known for its tourism appeal.
