Open champs lament the Abbey’s possible swan song

Next weeks marks the 30th time the Canadian Open will have played at the Glen Abbey Golf Course. Depending on a Toronto Superior Court decision, it could also be the last.

July 20, 2018 – Chez Reavie, Lee Trevino and Nick Price are among former Canadian Open champions concerned about the future of Oakville, Ont.’s Glen Abbey Golf Course. The thought of bulldozing the course to accommodate real estate development is “a terrible idea,” Reavie – who won the Open in 2008 – said.
