April 12, 2019 – A "sewing machine" the size of a motor home is stitching artificial turf fibres into the natural turf at Toronto's BMO Field. Once the work is complete – expected within the next five or six days – the hybrid turf system is expected to deliver a firmer, truer and more consistent playing surface for the Toronto FC soccer team.
