New Halifax stadium pitched as prelude to CFL franchise
Oct. 30, 2018 – Halifax city council is studying a report proposing a 24,000-seat stadium that could be the home for a new Canadian Football League franchise. A group called Maritime Football Limited Partnership has proposed a 38-hectare parcel of land in an east end park to serve as the site for the new stadium. Landing the league's 10th team is conditional upon having an appropriate stadium.
