March 21, 2019 – The controversy surrounding Canada's use of artificial turf fields when it played host to the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup will be forgotten for the 2023 event when only natural grass fields will be used. FIFA has made it clear artificial turf will no longer be acceptable.
