May 11, 2018 – The Canadian Turfgrass Research Foundation has welcomed its first international member: the Northwest Turfgrass Association based in Washington State.
The NTA serves the golf and professional sports turf management industry in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and British Columbia. The organization applied for admission in October.
“On behalf of the CTRF and its directors, I would like to welcome the Northwest Turfgrass Association in partnering with us and I look forward to your participation,” CTRF chairman Paul Schofield said.
The NTA will be included with the annual research project call for proposals that see 12 to 18 submissions each year from a variety of institutions. Nine currently active projects total approximately $200,000 in CTRF group funding.
