Council backs golf course in fight for flood strategy

Sept. 25, 2019 – In an effort to minimize flooding at the St. Marys Golf & Country Club, the golf course had sought out the help of the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority but those efforts have reportedly failed. The club has since gained the backing of town council to petition the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks to impose on the conservation authority a flood mitigation strategy.
