March 29, 2011  By  Mike Jiggens

Bayer Environmental Science (Bayer ES) presented a brand new iPad to Andre Hebert, assistant superintendent at the Hillsdale Golf and Country Club in Quebec, after he won a draw for the device during the recent Canadian International Turfgrass Conference and Trade Show in Vancouver, co-sponsored by the Canadian Golf Superintendents Association and the Western Canada Turfgrass Association.

The draw prize is consistent with Bayer's role as a supplier of tools and information that will allow golf superintendents to succeed in their careers. bayerwebRegarding the prize presentation, newly appointed director of Bayer ES Canada, Sohan Singh (right), said, "At Bayer, we believe in great technology. Whether it be in providing state-of-the-art plant protection products for healthy turf, or encouraging the use of the latest in electronic communications that facilitate good management and communications."

Singh added that “it's not just about research for us. It's about a dedication to develop and market new products that golf superintendents require. The iPad is an example of a tool that is a game-changer. We want to encourage game-changing on and off the golf course and aim to provide products that will do just that.”
