Allturf appoints new business leader

John Alpaugh has been appointed general manager of Allturf Limited by its board of directors. In his new role, he will be responsible for all operations, sales and customer satisfaction activities of Allturf in Canada.

Alpaugh, who began his new position in early April, has a history of leadership in golf construction and operations, chemical supply and distribution businesses, including general manager and national sales leadership roles with firms such as H.L. Blachford, Yenway Golf and Imperial Oil.allturfweb

An experienced golf club director and grounds chair, he recently concluded roles as business development leader for mineral processing and software providers. He studied chemistry at Trent University, holds an engineering degree from Laurentian University and is a certified professional engineer in Ontario.

Allturf is a private company based in Innisfil, Ont. Established in the late 1970s, the firm is a diversified distributor of golf course products, including fertilizer, turf equipment, seed, water management, pest controls and a wide variety of accessories used by golf courses to provide a quality experience for their golfing clients.
