Newmarket offers free snow markers to residents to help prevent winter lawn damage

Residents of Newmarket, Ont. can sign up to obtain a free set of sidewalk snow markers aimed at protecting their lawns from being carved up by municipal sidewalk plows. The pilot program will provide the markers while quantities last. The markers provide the visibility necessary for plow operators to safely keep to the sidewalks when plowing snow and not veering off and disrupting sod.
