Newly opened sports dome to be shared by high school and York Region sports teams

Soccer, volleyball and basketball are among the sports designed to be played under a new sports dome that has opened in York Region.

Touted as one of the largest sports domes in Ontario, the 100,000-square-foot facility was built in a partnership arrangement between the York Catholic District School Board and the Woodbridge Sports Dome.

Located at Holy Cross Catholic Academy, the dome will be shared by students attending the school as well as local sports teams.

The facility includes state-of-the-art LED lighting as well as a large skylight section.
