A new superintendent has been hired at Deerhurst Highlands Resort in Huntsville, Ont. Andrew Nieder began his new job Oct. 26.

He brings with him years of experience, having previously worked at some of Ontario’s more prestigious golf courses, including Grand Niagara Resort, Lambton Golf & Country Club, and most recently Hawk Ridge Golf Club.

Nieder is a graduate of the Niagara Parks Commission School of Horticulture and completed his full turf qualifications at the University of Guelph. He is a member of both the Ontario and Canadian golf superintendents associations.

“We are thrilled to be welcoming Andrew to the Deerhurst golf team, and his family to Huntsville,” Danny Jackson, director of folf said. “The program he completed at Niagara Parks Commission School of Horticulture provided many great learning opportunities that he will be able to put into play here.”
