A new bylaw in the Montreal suburb of Dollard-des-Ormeaux will reduce the daily hours that mowers, blowers and other such landscaping equipment can legally be operated. The measure is designed to improve the quality of life for residents in the area. Beginning this summer, such equipment cannot be operated between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. on weekdays and between 6 p.m. and 9 a.m. on weekends and statutory holidays.
