NCC encourages yard naturalization in addition to promoting No Mow May
No Mow May initiative founded in England
May 5, 2022 By Turf & Rec
A campaign founded in England by a conservation group has been embraced in Canada and is endorsed by the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC). Its motto is “No Mow May” which encourages residents to resist mowing their lawns until June, giving pollinators a chance to feed on dandelions. The NCC, however, wishes to promote the next step in the program – urging people to naturalize their yards.
