Nanaimo temporarily closes city park for first in series of overhaul projects

Removal of dead trees among park projects

Nanaimo’s Kinsmen Participark will be closed this week for the first of a number of scheduled overhauls this year. The temporary closure of the much frequented park will allow for the removal of dead trees. Nanaimo is considered unique among cities its size, with a 23-acre forest located in the middle of the city.
