The Sports Turf Association will conduct its 26th annual field day, Thursday, Sept. 19 in Mississauga, Ont.
Mississauga, Canada's sixth largest city, is conveniently located between Toronto and Niagara Falls and less than 90 minutes from the U.S. border. It is well situated to welcome sports turf managers from across the region. Educational sessions will be held at the Mississauga Valley Community Centre followed by lunch and practical on-the-field training at Mississauga Valley Park.
The field day committee has been applying the finishing touches to this year's program. At this time there are both sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities available.
Last year, in response to exhibitor suggestions, it was announced that moving forward the field day would feature outdoor exhibits on a biennial basis, next occurring in 2013.
After the 2012 event, 74 per cent of surveyed respondents indicated that "Yes, they missed this component of the Field Day." This year outdoor exhibits will once again be featured at the 2013 event.
Those interested in exhibiting at the field day should complete and return the Application to Exhibit by email or fax prior to Monday, July 15 to ensure inclusion in the field day brochure.
Anyone interested in sponsoring the field day should indicate on the Application to Exhibit and forward your company logo (colour) by email prior to Monday, July 15 to ensure inclusion in the Field Day brochure.
