Mississauga municipal course opens Friday, but will start with two temporary holes

Irrigation upgrades, tee construction to inconvenience play through spring

April 12, 2023  By Turf & Rec

Mississauga’s municipal golf courses are ready to open this week while a nine-hole academy course is slated to be ready on April 28.

BraeBen opens Friday, but two rotating holes will be out of play this spring due to irrigation upgrades. They will be replaced by two holes from the par three academy course. Some tees will also be under construction. Discounted green fees will be offered as a temporary measure during the disrupted period.

Lakeview Golf Course, the site of two past Canadian Open tournaments and a designated Ontario Heritage site, also opens on Friday and is expected to be fully operational this season following the Applewood Creek restoration project.
