Mississauga claims Asian long-horned beetle no longer a threat to urban forest

City has not detected its presence the past five years

The Asian long-horned beetle has been eliminated as a threat to Mississauga’s trees following five years of being undetected. “I’m pleased that this insect is no longer a threat to our trees or our budget,” Mayor Bonnie Crombie said.
