Maple, the lone Canadian entry in Lebanon Turf's annual dog calendar, has been voted "dog of the year" at the Golf Industry Show in San Diego, Calif.
Owned by Piper's Heath Golf Club superintendent Tim Muys, Maple will be featured in the calendar published by Golf Course Management magazine, the official publication of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.
Bronson, a dog owned by Lookout Point Country Club superintendent Aldo Bortolon, was featured in the same calendar in 2012 and was the only Canadian dog among the candidates vying for a spot.
