Lawn care business seeks exemption to Sarnia, Ont. roadside parking bylaw
Trucks can't get into some customer driveways
May 5, 2022 By Turf & Rec
A Sarnia, Ont. lawn care company is seeking an exemption from a local bylaw that prohibits parking along the shoulder of a county road during certain times of the week. An official from J.D. Lawn Service told county council this week that its trucks are unable to park in customers’ driveways in some instances and few parking opportunities exist along nearby side streets. A section of Lakeshore Road was recently rebuilt to provide its shoulders for pedestrians and cyclists. With no sidewalks, parking on the road is limited.
