Langford, B.C. acknowledges natural turf along city boulevards is a better idea than artificial turf
Municipality says natural turf is cheaper and more environmentally friendly

Langford, B.C.’s experimental installation of artificial turf along municipal boulevards has an end in sight. Council has determined it’s cheaper and more environmentally friendly to have natural grass growing along those parts of the road. The city won’t be ripping up the synthetic turf laid down five years ago anytime soon, but has removed artificial turf requirements in a future bylaw amendment.
